Palazzo Pitti

Schreiner University in Florence

By: Nick Gardner

Going to the Palazzo one day was really cool. I went into the costume gallery and the royal apartments. There is this one room in the costume gallery, which has pieces of clothing that were able to be recovered. I thought that was pretty fascinating. This one part of the apartments are the planet rooms that has a fresco in the center of the ceiling, which I thought was cool. The fresco correlated to the name of the room and that was also neat. I also saw the Boboli Gardens and this cave where the rock started to grow over the statues.
